Working with Duplicate Alerts
Have you ever searched your network for someone only to find that they have multiple profiles?!
Duplicate Alerts will automatically scan all of the members to see who may have duplicate profiles and notify you so you can make sure your member info is accurate and up to date! Duplicate Alerts will help you keep your database sparkly clean and your costs low by ensuring each of your members only has one profile.
When duplicates are found in your network, a notice like the one below will appear under the Household Database section through Data Cleanup:

Simply click on that notice, which will display the member name(s) who appear to have duplicate profiles:

From there, click on the member profile, and we'll show you two profiles at your organization who may be the same person. You'll have three options:
-
I'm not sure - We'll let another Admin handle this one and snooze this duplicate profile alert from you for 30 days, or you can use the Ask the Member tool to have the user verify the correct contact information.

- Keep Them Separate - We'll mark these profiles as unique and keep them separate.
- Yes, this is the same person - We'll merge these two profiles, but first let you select which conflicting details to keep.
If, after making your selection, you change your mind, there is a handy Undo or Go Back button to go back to the main page.

Once you're done with all of the duplicates found in your system, you will be good to go (and your information will be up to date!).
