Does anyone receive an email if I send a Text Note?

If a group member has an email address AND cell phone number on file and you choose to send a 'Text' note, they will only receive the note via text (they will not receive an email). However, if a group member only has an email address on file or is not opted to receive texts and you choose to send a 'Text' note, you can select the  Delivery option (located at the bottom of the note composer next to the schedule option) so that they will receive an email containing the text of the note.

The Delivery feature will tell you how many members will receive the text and how many members are not opted in to receive text messages in the group. You will want to make sure the option is checked to email those who are not opted in to receive texts. If this option is not checked, the members who are not opted in to receive texts will miss the message.

(The same is actually true for emails: If a group member has an email address AND cell phone number on file and you choose to send an 'Email' note, they will only receive the note via email (they will not receive a text). However, if a group member only has a cell phone number on file and you choose to send an 'Email' note, they will receive a text with a link to open the note.)

In other words, everyone in your group will receive each note you send (whether an 'Email' note or a 'Text' note). And, they will each receive it only once. People with both an email address and cell phone number on file will not receive two messages as long as you only send the note out one time. This is one of the benefits of Flocknote - you can reach everyone with just one note whether they prefer email or text. This helps ensure everyone receives the information you are trying to get out to them with you having to do as little additional work as possible. :)
